| Brown Fused Alumina is electically fused in an arc furnace from a mixture of bauxite, coke (anthracite) which are as the main raw materials at high tempreture. Its chemical composition contains Al2O3, TiO3, a small amount of SiO2, and Fe2O3, etc, microhardness: 1800-2200kg/mm¬2, toughness is higher than silicon carbide. The products which made of Brown Fused Alumina are suitable for grinding metals with high-tensile strength such as steel, annealed malle-able iron and hard bronze etc. Brown Fused Alumina can also be used for making high-standard refractory products. |
